With an ensemble such as Alabama Winds, rehearsing only few hours each month, the most critical component for the success of the ensemble is having all members present at every rehearsal. As such, all members of Alabama Winds are expected to be present at all rehearsals, on time and have their music prepared for rehearsal. The rehearsal dates and concert dates are announced months in advance so that members have adequate time to resolve their schedule of conflicts. Rehearsals are standardly on the third Sunday of each month. If a situation arises where a member will not be able to attend a rehearsal, the member will complete the Absence/Tardy Form. Each situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that prompt attendance and participation at all rehearsals are expected of each member. Excessive absences and/or tardies as well as being unprepared for rehearsals will affect membership status, resulting in potential removal from the membership and performance roster.

Absence/Tardy Forms should be completed and submitted at least 30 days in advance. Any form submitted less than 30 days in advance is subject to not be approved. If you cannot attend a performance or need to withdraw from Alabama Winds (either temporarily or permanently), please indicate this in the message field.

Social media messages, personal emails, text messages or phone calls should not be used in reporting absences or for withdrawing from Alabama Winds.
